Born in 1977 in the north of England, Rob Teasdale has always had an interest in all things creative, from drama and music to art and sculpture.   An interest in photography has always been prevalent in his life but it was while photographing deer in the wilds of Canada in 1992 that Rob discovered that his photography was becoming a real passion.  
Years of experimentation followed and Rob learned that capturing the world and freezing those magical moments which will never come again, was his true calling. 
In 1999, Rob set up a video studio and editing suite in York and began working primarily in the digital video field.  He produced and edited a series of short films and music videos with various companies in the early 2000s.   Rob was often chosen to provide still imagery to be used for video texturing and scenic backdrops.  It was this time working with digital video effects which gave Rob somewhat of a head-start when the digital revolution finally took hold of the photography industry.
These days Rob has embraced the power and versatility of digital photography and has decided to share a small collection of his work with the public.  This website will be the gateway into the fascinating world of photography and to witness scenes of far-away places and the awe-inspiring beauty of the land and of nature’s elements in harmony with each other.  For many, it will be a  chance to view the world in a way they’ve never seen it before.   For some, simply a chance to share Robs vision of the land’s awesome majesty as captured through the lens of a man who is sure to become known to many as one of the most innovative and expressive photographers working today.
